Compass Health Center helps clients navigate mental health disorders using evidence-based talk therapies and some experiential therapies. They are available in-person or virtually, including at this location in the northern part of Chicagoland. Their programs take into consideration which age group the client is in and what conditions they're seeking help with. Clients complete individual, group, and family therapy.

Age-Appropriate Care

Compass has children's programming for kids 5-12, teen programming for adolescents 12-18, young adult programming for adults 18-23, and adult programming for adults 23+. The kid and adolescent programs include scheduling around school and support for clients who are refusing school, plus a screen dependence program for kids 8-14 to help manage screen time well.

Support for Substance Use

Compass has relapse prevention planning and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for clients seeking support with alcohol or drug addiction alongside mental health treatment. They can facilitate either a harm reduction approach or an abstinence-based approach to substance use. Compass can administer Suboxone, Vivitrol, or naltrexone to reduce cravings.

Residential
Not Offered at This Center
Intensive monitoring and care for conditions like depression, trauma, suicidality, and anxiety. Residential mental health facilities offer a safe setting with activities and structure, plus opportunities to practice life skills and bond with peers.
Included
Day Treatment
In a PHP, patients live at home but follow an intensive schedule of treatment. Most programs require you to be on-site for about 40 hours per week.
Included
Intensive Outpatient Program
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) falls between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, with therapy and skills-building activities designed to support recovery and provide flexibility. IOP is ideal for those needing support but not the 24/7 care of a residential facility.
Included
Outpatient
Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Included
Virtual & In-Home Care
The delivery of therapeutic services utilizing technology such as video conferencing, online messaging or phone calls, allowing for flexibility, comfort and increased access to care.
Included
Licensed Primary Mental Health
Licensed primary mental health facilities provide specialized care for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. By offering early intervention and comprehensive services, they promote overall well-being and prevent long-term complications.
Included
Co-Occurring Substance Use
Substance use disorders often occur alongside primary mental health conditions. Programs for co-occurring substance use disorders focus on both conditions, tailoring treatment for comprehensive recovery.
