About Christophsbad Göppingen Seniors
Christophsbad Göppingen is an 81-bed outpatient clinic for adults around age 65 and older with a range of mental health disorders. The program specializes in helping seniors with aging-related changes like metabolic changes, aging-related changes to the nervous system, dementia, and more. Their treatments address depression and bipolar with and without psychotic symptoms, anxiety, acute and chronic psychosis, personality disorders, alcohol and drug addiction, grief, harm to oneself and others, chronic pain, and degenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer's desease, frontotemporal dementia, vascular dementia, and other dementias).
The care team at Christophsbad includes experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, creative therapists, and social workers who are well-equipped to work with seniors. They customize their treatment programs to meet individual needs, offering a balanced approach that combines both group and one-on-one therapy sessions. These programs integrate neurology, internal medicine, neuroradiology, and geriatric care into evidence-based and personalized care. Psychiatric medications and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) can also be provided to clients as needed.
The personalized outpatient programs provide care while allowing clients to return home at night. Treatment is available on Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The facility is located in the town of Göppingen, providing a healing-focused environment while maintaining convenient access to public transportation, local restaurants, and nearby excursions.
