About Cherrywood House
Set in tranquil, semi-rural Capetown, Cherrywood House helps clients overcome substance use by integrating the principles of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) with a focus on physical health. During their stay, clients will focus on changing destructive behaviors and thoughts while becoming more mindful and increasing interpersonal effectiveness. Cherrywood House provides a variety of evidence-based therapies including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, 12 Step meetings, and group therapy.
Each client will receive personalized and comprehensive treatment, with a maximum of 12 residential clients at a time. In addition to substance use, Cherrywood House’s evidence-based programme addresses common co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, traumas, eating disorders, and behavioral addictions. They boast top-class facility standards at a lower cost compared to other international treatment centers. Some of their specialty offerings include a complimentary 12-month aftercare program and an in-house family support programme.
On their boutique, home-like campus, clients can enjoy Cherrywood House’s luxury facilities including a swimming pool, large garden area, a hot tub, outdoor lounge spaces, and comfortable double rooms. They offer separate men's and ladies' accommodations with separate buildings on the property. During their stay, clients can engage in holistic activities such as yoga, meditation, and physical fitness sessions. Additionally, clients can enjoy chef-prepared meals according to a nutritionist-approved menu.
