About Chapa-De Indian Health
Chapa-De's team provides routine screenings, education, brief interventions, and referrals for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. They offer referrals to all levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential treatment, available to Medi-Cal patients. Additional treatment options are offered for American Indian patients.
For opiate addiction, Chapa-De offers Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) at both locations. A team of specially trained doctors, addiction nurses, and behavioral health specialists support patients in their recovery from opioid pain medications and/or heroin.
Chapa-De also supports tobacco cessation, helping patients explore motivation, develop quitting strategies, and learn about medications like nicotine patches that can aid in quitting.
The Red Road to Wellbriety Talking Circle is a recovery group open to all Chapa-De patients seeking support. Based on native teachings from the White Bison Recovery Movement, these virtual meetings are available to patients from both Auburn and Grass Valley every Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., with no appointment needed.
