California Mental Health helps adults with chronic mental health conditions, complex diagnoses, and behavioral challenges pursue lasting healing beyond symptom relief. In their intentionally small inpatient and residential treatment program southeast of San Jose, clients live on-site with 24/7 clinical support, allowing them to strengthen relationships, develop greater independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Receive Individualized, Trauma-Informed Treatment

California Mental Health builds a treatment plan around each client that evolves as needs change, with a dedicated case manager providing daily support. Clients participate in individual therapy 2–3 times weekly, as well as group and family therapy. Care blends talk therapies, music and art therapy, and body-focused exercises to help clients manage emotions, reshape unhelpful thought patterns, and find better ways to cope with problems. When clinically appropriate, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) expand treatment options for depression and other mental health conditions.

Focus on Healing in a Relaxing Home

California Mental Health welcomes clients to one of two residential homes, located in San Martin. Each location serves 6 clients and is thoughtfully decorated to feel more like a serene retreat rather than a hospital environment. Clients stay in private or shared bedrooms with quality linens and spacious bathrooms, and can unwind in inviting living spaces or by the pool. Chef-prepared meals add to the sense of comfort and care.

Sustain Progress with Virtual Outpatient Care

Upon completing residential treatment, Nashville Mental Health prepares clients for a successful transition by providing a virtual intensive outpatient program. Clients participate in structured, higher-level mental health care from home through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions. Each client’s comprehensive discharge plan also includes aftercare recommendations, community resources, medication management arrangements, and follow-up appointments to ensure a smooth transition and sustained progress.
