About Austen Riggs Virtual IOP
Austen Riggs Center offers a virtual intensive outpatient program for college students and emerging adults ages 18 to 30 in Massachusetts and Vermont. Designed for young adults whose mental health challenges affect school, work, relationships, or daily life, the program provides structured support with rolling admission, a schedule built to fit student life, and need-based financial assistance for eligible patients.
Explore Patterns That Shape Emotional Well-Being
The program uses a psychodynamic team approach to help patients better understand emotions, relationship patterns, and sources of distress. Care includes group therapy, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and medication management. Patients also take part in yoga, mindfulness, and meditation as part of the weekly schedule.
Stay Connected to Care From Home or Campus
All services are delivered online through Zoom, allowing patients to participate from campus or home while maintaining school and other responsibilities. Austen Riggs also works with outside mental health resources, including school counseling centers, which can help support continuity and coordination during treatment.
