EHN Guardians Atlantic's inpatient facility, located in serene Nova Scotia, provides addiction and trauma recovery to military members and first responders in a setting that feels secure, comfortable, and warm. They offer alcohol and drug recovery and care for co-occurring conditions with specialty tracks for family care and trauma-specific programs. Their campus is surrounded by nature and offers a fully equipped gym, lovely hiking routes, comfortable, at-home-like accommodations, and freshly prepared, regionally inspired meals.

Treatment Opportunities

Some of EHN Guardians Atlantic’s therapeutic interventions include CPT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and art therapy. These interventions take place in an individual or small-group treatment setting. Additionally, the EHN Guardians Atlantic offers integrated therapies including yoga, meditation, physical exercise, healthy eating, and good sleep habits. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), which is used to treat major depressive disorder and a number of other psychiatric illnesses, and ketamine treatment are two of their specialty services. In addition to family counseling, the EHN Guardians Atlantic offers self-help programs including 12-Step and SMART Recovery. The EHN Guardians Atlantic's lifetime alumni network, Thrive, is also available. All qualified patients who finish therapy are given one year of aftercare.

The EHN Guardians Atlantic Specialized services to treat PTSD, mood disorders, sexual trauma and chronic pain with or without substance use disorders Includes detox, stabilization, psychoeducation, skill-building and relapse prevention. Designed to help family members understand the disorders that their loved ones are dealing with while engaging in their own recovery work. A combination of presentations, workshops, and counselling sessions.
