Flexible and Personalized
Amwell Recovery’s outpatient programming offers individual counseling, group and family therapy, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), medication management, case management, holistic treatment sessions and more. Levels of care vary by intensity and time spent in treatment. PHP, or day treatment, offers the most intensive and structured environment. Clients attend treatment daily for at least 4 hours per day, equivalent to 20 or more hours per week. IOP provides a similar structure, with more of a focus on developing coping mechanisms, engaging in healthy hobbies, meeting family obligations, and building a stable life in recovery. IOP typically consists of 9 hours of treatment per week, with sessions offered during the day and in the evening. Qualified candidates for outpatient care have previously completed a medical detox program or residential program, or do not require that level of care.
A general outpatient program is offered as their lowest level of care, with clients receiving 2-6 hours of services per week. Clients may also attend group and 1-on-1 sessions virtually, making treatment more widely available and convenient.
Relapse Prevention Planning
Amwell Recovery offers an active alumni network and community, and offers aftercare services and ongoing care upon completion of one of their outpatient programs. Clients receive continued support through education, therapy, alumni group support, and aftercare services with relapse prevention planning.
