About DUPLICATE Rochester Women's Center - Adult & Teen Challenge
Adult & Teen Challenge of Rochester offer both short term and and long-term, faith-based recovery programs for women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Adult and Teen Challenge strives to be a place of refuge for women, and provides a Bible-based curriculum with a 1-year minimum commitment. Using a holistic approach, the program addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each woman. Residents undergo spiritual counseling, individual therapy, life skills, family education, and case management as part of the healing program.
Evidence-Based Treatment
The Long-term recovery program is a 12-month program offering evidence-based practices with a multidisciplinary team of mental health practitioners, counselors, chaplains and coaches. Treatment includes life skills, individual counseling, and 12-Step facilitation are curated by a diverse team of women.
The History Behind the Program
Founded in the 1950s by David Wilkerson following a New York City gang murder, Adult Teen Challenge emerged as a response to drug and alcohol addiction, offering faith-based treatment options. Over time, the program expanded, leading to the establishment of multiple adult and teen centers. Presently, Adult and Teen Challenge operates 200+ residential centers in the U.S. and over 1,000+ ministry locations worldwide.
