About ThreePeaks Ascent
ThreePeaks Ascent is a short-term residential program for adolescents ages 13-17 with mental health and behavioral struggles, providing a calming, natural environment for healing. The program takes place over 8 to 12 weeks, providing the framework for teens to identify and work through negative thinking and behavioral patterns. The care team is also dedicated to nurturing each client's unique strengths, skills, and personal growth.
A typical day at ThreePeaks begins with a sunrise wake-up, followed by breakfast and morning chores. Afterward, clients engage in their therapy assignments, with time set aside for personal care and showers before lunch at noon. From 1 to 4 PM, the day continues with school and therapy sessions. Dinner is served at 5 PM, after which the evening is dedicated to community and individual check-ins, leading into bedtime routines. This structured schedule provides clients with a consistent routine that promotes both a sense of safety and continued progress in their recovery journey.
The offered therapeutic modalities include recreational therapy, individual and group therapy, family therapy, art and music therapy, life skills, outdoor education, and guided reflections. Time is also set aside each day for journaling, emphasizing the importance of gratitude, the ongoing learning process, and personal accomplishments.
Clients may take part in adventure outings, including hiking, camping, biking, and games. Located in Enterprise, Utah, the expansive surroundings offer teens an immersive experience, free from outside distractions and stressors. Residents share rooms and bathrooms, providing a tight-knit community with the shared goal of wellness and self-improvement.
