About Seattle Family Therapy
Overlooking Lake Union, Seattle Family Therapy pairs a chiled-centered officed with dedicated play and talk therapy spaces to create a comfortable setting for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Owner Alexandria Scalone, LMFT, RPT, provides outpatient family, couples, individual, and play therapy using a family systems approach that helps clients understand how relationships, communication, family roles, and life experiences influence emotional and behavioral challenges. She supports concerns including family conflict, parenting, anxiety, divorce, co-parenting, blended family transitions, and child or adolescent behavioral concerns through in-person sessions in Seattle and telehealth across Washington.

Seattle Family Therapy recognizes that emotions and behaviors are influenced by relationships, family roles, culture, and the environments people live in. Alexandria draws from structural family therapy to examine boundaries, roles, communication, and patterns between family members. She also uses contextual family therapy explores trust, fairness, accountability, and concerns carried across generations, while existential therapy creates space to explore choices, identity, purpose, grief, death, and meaning.
Helping Families Move Forward
As a Registered Play Therapist, Alexandria uses sand trays, games, books, imagination, dress-up, dolls, vehicles, and Lego towns to help children communicate experiences they may struggle to put into words. Her work also extends to divorce as a mediator, collaborative divorce coach, and child specialist. She helps parents understand their children’s developmental needs, create parenting plans, and strengthen co-parenting while keeping children out of adult decisions and helping families work toward agreements outside court.
