About New Perspectives Center for Counseling
Serving San Francisco clients since 1993, New Perspectives Center for Counseling provides outpatient psychotherapy and relationship counseling for adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. Clients can attend in-person sessions in San Francisco's South of Market (SOMA) District or use telehealth throughout California. The center provides long-term psychotherapy and short-term counseling for mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), grief, trauma, relationship concerns, substance dependence, life transitions, isolation, and emotional regulation.
Exploring What Shapes Your Well-Being
The team uses trauma-informed, strength-based, and relational approaches, integrating psychodynamic therapy with skills-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), as well as somatic and expressive arts therapy. Therapists also use mindfulness, transpersonal psychotherapy, and the Hakomi Method, a body-centered approach that uses present-moment experience to explore patterns. New Perspectives provides couples with emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method therapy.
