Finding the right therapist plays a central role in how care begins here. Luminary Counseling gives prospective clients a free 30-minute consultation before matching them with a therapist whose training aligns with their concerns. Their team treats depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief, burnout, identity, and relationship concerns, includes therapists with specialized training in LGBTQ+ psychology, and provides dedicated therapy for men. Clients can attend sessions in Austin or through telehealth across Texas.

Purposeful Matching, Different Therapies

Once matched, clients may work individually, as a couple, or with family members depending on the concern. Therapists use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Relationship therapists also use the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy, while free online groups address grief, religious trauma, chronic illness, neurodiversity, and people-pleasing.
