Ellie Mental Health’s Newton center makes mental health care more accessible through outpatient therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Located on Oak Street in Newton, Massachusetts, the clinic also serves LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients, first responders, veterans, and survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse. The team addresses concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, addiction, grief, chronic pain, eating disorders, burnout, and life transitions.
Building Skills Through Specialized Therapy
Therapists help clients build coping skills, process trauma, manage emotions, and address patterns that affect daily life and relationships. The team draws from wide range of approaches based on client’s needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic experiencing, canine therapy, and clinical hypnosis.
Specialized and Creative Approaches
Ellie Mental Health-Newton also offers art, music, play, dance/movement, yoga and breathwork, canine therapy, parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), child parent psychotherapy (CPP), Gottman training, and discernment counseling. Services include sex therapy, gender-affirming and culturally responsive care, relapse prevention, and special-interest-based therapy. The team also supports relationships, parenting, blended and multicultural families, adoption, divorce, infertility, and perinatal concerns. In-person and telehealth sessions are available.
