About Ellie Mental Health - Dothan West
The Ellie Mental Health Dothan West office brings five clinicians together to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship strain for individuals, couples, and families. One therapist focuses on LGBTQIA+ clients and uses video games, fandoms, and tabletop role-playing to make emotional work feel more approachable. Sessions run in person or by telehealth, and evening hours help clients fit care around work.
Build Practical Skills for Daily Life
Clients leave sessions with practical skills for calming anxiety, processing painful experiences, and repairing strained relationships. Therapists draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and play therapy. Two clinicians also offer faith-integrated counseling for clients who ask for it, and others see children and teens as well as adults.
Book Visits Around a Busy Schedule
The office opens Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., which leaves room for after-work and weekend visits. When someone is in crisis, the clinic strives to offer an appointment within two business days of first contact. Telehealth options let clients meet with clinicians from home when driving to the office is not practical or the week is already full.
