About Denver Wellness Counseling - LoHi
Located southeast of McDonough Park, Denver Wellness Counseling - LoHi provides outpatient therapy for teens, adults, couples, and families. Therapists treat trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, grief and loss, eating disorders, body image concerns, relationship problems, and stressful life transitions. They also work with perinatal trauma, infertility, pregnancy loss, and pregnancy or birth-related medical trauma. Clients can attend sessions in person at 2781 W 38th Avenue in the LoHi area or use telehealth anywhere in Colorado.
EMDR and Individual Therapy Approaches
Therapists use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) as a primary treatment approach and may also use trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, emotionally focused therapy, and the Gottman method. Services include individual therapy, couples counseling, premarital counseling, family therapy, and teen counseling. Teen therapy addresses concerns such as trauma, depression, peer pressure, bullying, low self-esteem, academic problems, social isolation, family conflict, and major school or life changes.
Access, Payment, and Scheduling
Clients attend outpatient sessions by appointment while continuing with work, school, family responsibilities, and other daily routines. They primarily operate on a private-pay, out-of-network basis rather than accepting in-network insurance. Individual sessions currently cost $165, although some therapists may offer limited reduced-fee openings.
