Tools for the Journey

The team uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), mindfulness, solution-focused counseling, trauma-informed approaches, and Gottman-based couples therapy. Christian Counseling Centers helps clients address anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, marital issues, life transitions, self-esteem, parenting, and spiritual or cultural concerns.

Support for Every Season

Clients can also receive premarital and marriage counseling using PREPARE/ENRICH and SYMBIS (saving your marriage before it starts) programs. Some therapists have additional training in eating disorders, Gottman methods, and HRV biofeedback. The San Francisco team also includes therapists who work with Mandarin- and Russian-speaking clients, while supporting concerns such as spiritual abuse, church conflict, divorce recovery, and cultural issues in marriage.
