About Center for Somatic Psychotherapy
As part of the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) Counseling Clinics, the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy supports individuals, couples and partners, youth, and families of all ages, genders, racial and cultural backgrounds, and sexual orientations. The center offers in-person and online psychotherapy that combines conventional and body-oriented approaches, including movement, breath practices, sensory awareness, and other somatic modalities.
Support for Life’s Challenges
Clients at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy can explore relationships, psychosomatic issues, life transitions, depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, and personal growth. Therapists provide a safe, supportive setting for emotional, interpersonal, and developmental concerns while incorporating body-focused practices into counseling and psychotherapy. The center also partners with social service organizations and academic environments on community projects.
