About Bay Area Group Therapy Center - Berkeley
Focusing on the unique power of belonging to a healing community, Bay Area Group Therapy Center offers in-person offers in-person process therapy groups at its Berkeley office in the Claremont neighborhood. Led by Audre Mowry, LMFT, the groups serve adults navigating relationships, identity, connection, and emotional patterns. Small groups give members space to understand how they relate to others while practicing new ways to communicate and connect.
Process Therapy in the Present Moment
The center offers process therapy groups that help clients understand relationship patterns through present-moment interactions and real-time peer feedback. Members practice communication, emotional regulation, self-awareness, connection, and navigating conflict together. Therapists use relational, attachment-focused, body-oriented, mindfulness, and somatically informed approaches to help members recognize recurring patterns and try different ways of relating within the group.
Practice New Ways of Relating
Groups typically have 4 to 8 members, with placement based on a collaborative pre-group process. Prospective members begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation followed by a 50-minute meeting with a potential group leader to discuss goals, group fit, and preparation. A limited number of individual therapy slots are available for clients who want to work individually and in group with the same therapist.
