The River Rehab is a gorgeous, spa-like rehabilitation center in Chiang Mai. This facility treats men and women who are struggling with alcohol, drug, and process addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders. The River Rehab treats clients using evidence-based, medical detox, trauma focused therapies, and holistic wellbeing. One-size does not fit all, and this is why The River Rehab uses therapeutic evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), neuro linguistic programming (NLP), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), hypnotherapy, motivational interviewing (MI), motivational enhancement therapy (MET), stress management, 12-Step therapy, and a holistic program. The River Rehab is fully licensed by the Ministry of Public Health in Asia. The River Rehab is Kosher certified. Clients have the option to participate in the 28 day program for an average of $10,000 or the 90 day program for $24,000. The River Rehab works in close partnership with a medical doctor who is supported by a 24/7 on-site team of nurses with specialized training in addiction. The facility doctor is always on call, and when he is off site his practice and home is within 20 mins of the facility. Clients are able to bring their laptop, computer, and smartphone; however, these are only to be used during the evenings, and are asked to be turned in during the day time. The River Rehab accepts service dogs or support dogs. The River Rehab provides an aftercare plan and refers clients to an extended care treatment if the client is interested. The River Rehab has many types of payment methods, and they encourage clients to call and discuss payment options.
The River Rehab is one of the longest running rehab facilities in Thailand. The River Rehab is operated in a resort-style environment. The design was created to encourage the seamless coexistence of nature indoors and outdoors. They have indoor and outdoor living areas, a massage villa, a relaxing swimming pool, yoga, meditation, a spacious fitness center, and WIFI in all areas. On property, clients will encounter 150 year old trees, lush tropical gardens, and the banks of Mae Ping River. The River Rehab has private rooms with an en-suite bathroom. Clients' rooms are cleaned daily by a maid service, and the en-suite has fresh towels, a hair dryer, and other bathroom amenities. They provide oil lamps, essential oils for relaxation, a nightly turndown service, and a laundry service. The rooms include a working desk, sofa and seating area, air conditioning, a balcony & terrace, and a refrigerator.
