About The Clearing
The Clearing is the only licensed treatment program in the United States that provides a 28-day residential wellness program to 10 adults that start and end the program together. The Clearing specializes in treating substance use disorder while focusing on healing the underlying co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Clients join a small group for an uninterrupted and immersive curriculum-based program that uses a non 12-Step approach. Treatment includes 120 hours of individual therapy using CBT and DBT therapy. Clients work hard with a caring staff 6 days a week. Treatment includes up to 3 individual counseling sessions per week and 3 group sessions per week. Clients engage in educational workshops that cover a variety of topics and life skills training. In addition, The Clearing offers Spiritual Psychology to address the client on a physical, mental, and emotional level.
The Clearing has a serene and secluded estate on San Juan Island in the Puget Sound of Washington State. Their 43-acre property is beautifully landscaped. Clients can enjoy private rooms and chef-prepared meals on a property that feels more like a retreat and less like a treatment center. The Clearing graduates have great success with over 80% of the graduates reported being free from addiction.
