About Stepping Stones of Atlanta Recovery Residence
Helping men build a foundation for long-term sobriety, Stepping Stones of Atlanta Recovery Residence offers 12-Step-based sober living for men recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Residents are encouraged to stay for at least 9–12 months while working all 12 Steps with a sponsor. Stepping Stones intentionally maintains a close-knit recovery community where each resident is known personally rather than treated as just a number. Daily accountability includes Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, frequent drug testing, employment or community service, and fellowship with other men in recovery.
Build Accountability Through the 12 Steps
Stepping Stones of Atlanta centers daily life around the 12 Steps and fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. Men find a sponsor within their first week, attend required meetings, work through each Step, and participate in house groups. Residents also maintain employment, look for work, attend outpatient treatment, or complete community service. Drug testing 2–3 times each week reinforces accountability. Every current staff member has also completed the Stepping Stones program, bringing firsthand recovery experience to their work with residents.
Find Brotherhood Beyond the Residence
Brotherhood is a central part of life at Stepping Stones, where men build friendships with others who understand recovery firsthand. Fellowship extends beyond the residence through sober dinners, retreats, whitewater rafting, and other activities that show residents they can enjoy life without drugs or alcohol. Men also connect with Atlanta’s wider recovery community while learning to live independently, stay accountable, and support one another. These relationships help residents build a sober network they can continue relying on after leaving the program.
