About Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center
This provider delivers inpatient mental health care for adults in need of short-term stabilization and support. Licensed clinicians help individuals manage conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The center also supports those facing both mental health and substance use concerns through dual diagnosis treatment planning.
Psychiatrists lead treatment using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and expressive therapies like music, journaling, and yoga. Clients join structured daily group sessions and receive round-the-clock medication management from trained nursing staff. Activity therapists and counselors help each person build coping skills and plan for ongoing care after discharge.
The center features 28 beds across private and semi-private rooms in a secure hospital unit. Staff coordinate meals and medication while supporting safety and comfort. Clients participate in therapy in designated group spaces and connect with discharge planners to prepare for their next steps.
