About Wings of Hope Recovery - Newington House
Located in Hartford, Connecticut, the Newington House is built for women who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, transitioning from incarceration, or coming from unstable situations. The house provides a substance-free environment and a daily routine, giving residents curfew, overnight rules, and other guidelines. The women are also expected to attend weekly AA and NA meetings in support of their recovery and a house meeting for responsibilities and chores.
Comfortable Living with Everyday Essentials and Employment Support
Residents can have a private room or share their room to up to 2 people. They have access to a kitchen, a washer and dryer for free laundry, and a backyard. The house also provides free parking, wifi, the necessary beddings, cleaning, bathroom, and kitchen supplies for their daily living needs. To support women’s eventual independent living, the center partnered with Workforce Assistance to help them find work.
