About Taproot Recovery Residences
Located in Sacramento, California, Taproot Recovery Residences operates three sober living homes: one men’s residence and two women’s residences. Residents live in gender-specific homes while staying sober, rebuilding routines, and managing daily responsibilities. The program was founded by Brenda Cross, a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor with more than 30 years of recovery experience.
House Rules and Daily Routine
Residents of Taproot must stay completely sober, attend house meetings, follow a 10 p.m. curfew, complete regular drug and alcohol testing, and breathalyze each night. They also help with chores, respect quiet hours, and take part in house life. During the day, residents are expected to work, attend school, go to outpatient treatment, attend recovery meetings, volunteer, search for a job, or handle personal responsibilities. Work schedules can be considered for curfew extensions with approval.
