About Surrender House Recovery Home
Founded on a passion for lasting recovery, Surrender House Recovery Homes operates multiple sober living homes in Southgate, Michigan, for individuals recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. The center opened its first home for women in 1999 and provides clean, furnished recovery housing focused on stability, responsibility, and developing independent living skills.
Strengthen Recovery Through Structured Support
Its 90-day residential program encourages residents to change behaviors associated with addiction through a structured daily environment. Residents must attend at least five AA/NA meetings each week, work the program under the guidance of a sponsor, and participate in weekly house meetings, workshops, and outings. The program emphasizes spiritual healing, personal responsibility, and healthy daily routines. Random alcohol and drug screenings are part of the program, and the homes have a live-in house monitor and a manager with many years of recovery experience.
Rebuild Independence Through Daily Responsibility
Residents help maintain their homes and are encouraged to maintain employment or attend school to establish structure and productive routines. The furnished homes include free laundry facilities and WiFi and are located near bus lines, shopping, churches, employment opportunities, and AA/NA meetings within walking distance. These living arrangements are designed to help residents develop responsibilities they can carry into their own homes.
