It is a sober housing with structure, house rules, peer accountability, and optional on-site addiction counseling for an added fee.
House Rules and Recovery Structure
Residents at Pennys Lake House must agree to live in a clean and sober house, attend AA/NA meetings, work a 12-Step program, and get a sponsor and home group within 30 days. They take part in weekly house check-ins and agree to random drug and alcohol screenings, random room checks, and medication monitoring. The house also hosts guest speakers and group sessions that introduce cognitive strategies and new recovery perspectives.
Rooms, Amenities, and Cost
The home at Pennys Lake House has a shared and private room options, high-speed Xfinity cable and WiFi, on-site laundry, multiple bathrooms, a screened patio, meditation area, pool, deck, and parking in front and back. Shared rooms cost $225 per week or $900 per month, with a six-month prepaid rate of $4,200. Private rooms cost $325 per week. There is a one-time, non-refundable $225 administrative fee. Payments can be made online or through CashApp, Venmo, Chime, or Zelle.
