About Hermanos de la Calle Housing Program
Guided by a mission to end homelessness in Miami, Hermanos de la Calle helps individuals and families regain stable housing, dignity, and community support. Its Housing Program is a residential-style housing initiative in Miami-Dade County for men and women transitioning out of homelessness.
Rebuild Life in Community
As the organization’s first initiative, it has grown into a network of 28 shared homes designed to provide safe, long-term stability, dignity, and community. Some homes operate as recovery residences for residents committed to sobriety and personal growth. The program uses a structured, holistic support approach that helps residents rebuild daily routines, maintain housing, and move toward independence.
Learn the Shape of Independence
Hermanos de la Calle manages the homes, covers utilities and basic setup for the first month, and then helps residents transition into more independent living. Support may include job search assistance, benefits navigation, case management, workshops, wraparound services, and community-building activities. Residents self-manage household responsibilities such as cleaning, cooperation, and daily living, helping them build the practical skills needed for stable housing and long-term independence.
