About Gateside Recovery
Helping adults build a stable foundation for long-term recovery, Gateside Recovery provides structured sober living across three residences in Imperial Beach, California. Founded by individuals with personal recovery experience, the program emphasizes accountability, community, and support while helping residents transition into independent, substance-free living. Gateside is certified and partnered with the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR), supporting quality standards in recovery housing. Residents benefit from a recovery-focused environment within walking distance of the beach, public transportation, restaurants, and local resources.
Recovery Through Community and Service
Gateside Recovery encourages residents to stay actively involved in both recovery and the local community. The program hosts and participates in activities such as recovery volleyball tournaments, beach gatherings, sobriety walks, milestone celebrations, and outreach events serving people experiencing homelessness. Through peer support, structured living, shared responsibilities, and meaningful community involvement, residents strengthen resilience, rebuild healthy routines, and develop the skills needed to maintain long-term sobriety while creating lasting connections with others in recovery. Gateside Recovery also accepts Medi-Cal and select Marketplace insurance plans to support eligible residents in their recovery journey.
