The 12-Step Approach and Community Integration
Courage House uses a communal approach built on 12-Step programs like AA, NA, and CA. Residents attend required weekly recovery meetings and work with sponsors to learn life skills, fostering peer support and self-worth. Additionally, a required program mandates that all residents maintain a reasonable schedule by securing meaningful employment, attending school, or finding volunteer work to improve their local neighborhood.
