Built in 2018, Angela’s House is a CTARR-certified, women-only sober living home in New Haven, Connecticut. The recovery residence provides an affordable environment designed to support women working toward long-term recovery from substance use disorder (SUD). The home promotes stability, compassion, respect, and individuality while following Connecticut Alliance of Recovery Residences standards for safety, quality, and peer support.

Keeping Recovery Within Reach

They encourage residents to participate in the 12 Steps and Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous while recognizing other pathways and community-based recovery services. These may include groups through the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR), a statewide organization offering peer-led recovery meetings, coaching, education, and connections to support services, as well as individual therapy in the community. Angela’s House develops an aftercare plan for each resident, accepts women taking Suboxone or methadone, and offers everyday medication management.

Creating Affordable Paths Forward

NorthStar Pathways manages Angela's House, and they also operate Maple House in New Haven. Both residences serve women ages 23 to 77 and are certified by the Connecticut Alliance of Recovery Residences. NorthStar Pathways uses self-pay, with shared and private room rates ranging from $750 to $1,185 per month, depending on availability and accommodation type.
