About ANEW Chemical Health Services - Mary Kay Manor
A family-centered sober living duplex in Saint Paul's West 7th area serves women recovering from substance use, particularly mothers who want to live with their children while maintaining sobriety or working toward family reunification. Operated by Spence Specialties LLC under ANEW Chemical Health Services, Mary Kay Manor accommodates up to 10 people total, including women and children, depending on family sizes and available space. Residents attend ANEW's separate outpatient counseling and parenting programs while following structured recovery routines at home.
Focus on Recovery and Reunification
Residents attend ANEW's 9-month outpatient program provides individual and group counseling across 3 phases, with fewer sessions as women progress. Residents attend scheduled treatment sessions outside the home, then return to the duplex to manage daily responsibilities and care for their children. Parenting support helps mothers strengthen family relationships and prepare for reunification. Group Residential Housing (GRH) funding covers room and board, while women participate in treatment and focus on recovery.
Follow a Clear House Structure
Women must have at least 30 days of sobriety before moving in and complete a 7-day orientation. Residents follow house routines, attend weekly house meetings and at least 2 recovery meetings each week, and undergo random drug testing. A house manager provides guidance, although the home does not have staff onsite around the clock. Residents provide their own food and can stay for up to 1 year while working toward independent living.
