About ANEW Chemical Health Services - Bedford Manor
A sober living duplex on Saint Paul’s East Side, Bedford Manor houses up to 14 women and their children. The home follows a housing model developed by Spence Specialties, LLC and accepts single women and mothers with children ages 10 and younger. Mothers can live with their children while attending ANEW Chemical Health Services’ outpatient treatment program, with housing available for up to 1 year.
Pair Housing With Outpatient Care
Residents take part in ANEW's 9-month outpatient program, which runs in 3 phases, while they live at Bedford Manor. Women with children under 18 complete a weekly parenting class, and infants up to 3 months old can join treatment groups with their mothers. Residents arrange their own transportation and childcare. Room and board are funded through Group Residential Housing (GRH) or board and lodge, and a $200 deposit is required.
Follow a Clear House Structure
Women need at least 30 days of sobriety to move in, then complete a 7-day orientation and meet with a peer recovery specialist in their first week. The home has a house manager, and residents attend weekly house meetings and at least 2 recovery meetings each week. They complete daily chores and provide their own food. Residents receiving Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) benefits pay $129 a month.
Center Overview

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
This center accepts patients receiving MAT prescribed elsewhere for opioid use disorder, but does not prescribe it.
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
