About A Fresh Start - Claremont Womens House
Located in Chicago’s Roscoe Village neighborhood on the city’s North Side, Claremont House offers sober living for women maintaining recovery after substance use treatment. It supports women transitioning from treatment or seeking a stable place to continue their recovery, including pregnant women are welcome to stay in the home during pregnancy, up until the birth of their child. Residents live in a structured, substance-free home where they can rebuild routines, take responsibility for daily life, and continue outside counseling or treatment while living among peers with similar goals.
Support Through Community and Structure
Residents live with others focused on maintaining sobriety, creating a community where accountability and encouragement grow naturally. Weekly in-house meetings give residents time to talk about progress, challenges, and goals. House managers help maintain structure and safety while residents continue work, school, or outpatient treatment. The environment encourages practical recovery habits like keeping routines, managing responsibilities, and supporting one another through everyday challenges.
Home Design for Stability
The home includes a chef-style kitchen with marble and granite finishes and steel appliances, along with shared spaces for cooking and gathering. Additional features include HD cable televisions, high-speed WiFi, a shared computer, and coin laundry. Residents prepare their own meals and help care for shared spaces, building independence and everyday living skills. With clear expectations and supportive peers, Claremont Womens House offers a steady step between treatment and independent living.
