About A Fresh Start - Belmont Womens House
Located in Chicago’s Roscoe Village neighborhood on the city’s North Side, Belmont House provides sober living for women continuing their recovery after substance use treatment. The home supports women transitioning from treatment or looking for a stable place to strengthen their recovery, including pregnant women who are welcome to stay during pregnancy until the birth of their child. In this structured, substance free environment, residents rebuild daily routines, take responsibility for everyday life, and continue outside counseling or treatment. Living alongside peers who share similar goals offers steady encouragement, accountability, and a sense of community as women move forward in their recovery.
Support Through Community and Structure
Residents live with others focused on maintaining sobriety, creating a community where accountability and encouragement grow naturally. Weekly in-house meetings give residents time to talk about progress, challenges, and goals. House managers help maintain structure and safety while residents continue work, school, or outpatient treatment. The environment encourages practical recovery habits like keeping routines, managing responsibilities, and supporting one another through everyday challenges.
