About Skyterra Young Adult
This wellness retreat for young adults who feel overwhelmed by life, uncertain about college or their career, lack confidence, need help with their relationship with food and eating or need coping skills to manage mental health concerns. Skyterra has a team of licensed clinicians, registered dieticians, certified fitness instructors and executive chefs that specialize in young adult wellness. Young adult guests ages 18-29 can enjoy fellowship at the wellness retreat with a small group of 20 others who have similar goals. Guests participate in individual coaching, group therapy and family therapy with a structured schedule. In addition to developing a healthy mind and body, the guests develop a healthy lifestyle, which includes learning how to budget, developing a positive self-image, setting boundaries and detoxing from social media and the internet while at the retreat.
Young adults stay in a treehouse that sits on a mountaintop and overlooks a lush green landscape. Guests wake up to begin with a customized personal morning routine, circle up with the group to set intentions, participate in mindfulness and breathwork and eat breakfast. The morning hours are filled with fitness and nature walks, outdoor adventure yoga, pickleball, swimming and massage therapy. After lunch, the young adults use several hours to participate in group therapy, nutrition therapy or individual therapy sessions. They are also able to take culinary education classes that help them learn how to cook and what to cook for healthy, energy-giving meals. During the evening hours, the young adults make dinner together, engage in hobbies like painting, macrame or journaling. Skyterra also takes the young adults on outdoor excursions like goat yoga, paddle boarding, foraging, kayaking and campfires.
