Solace Wellness, formerly called Serene Psychology Centre, specializes in treating substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health conditions, and process addictions. Solace treats adults ages (18-70) using specialty programs that address the root cause of addiction, eating disorders, gambling, and more. Solace uses a holistic approach. Treatment plans are highly-individualized and designed to facilitate growth. After detox, clients can engage in 1-on-1 counseling, 12-Step facilitation, psychoeducation, group therapy, and meditation and mindfulness. An emphasis is placed on relapse prevention counseling and the development of coping skills to deal with everyday life. The last phase of the treatment is after care support. Clients are referred to their local communities to participate in on-going support from NA and AA support groups. Solace understands that it is crucial to have a dependable after care program. They offer 18 months of aftercare services which include weekly counseling sessions.
