About Riverview Behavioral Health
Riverview Behavioral Health is a psychiatric hospital providing comprehensive mental health care for adolescents and adults. Located in Texarkana, Arkansas, the facility offers detox services, residential care, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for clients ages 18 and up.
Riverview Behavioral Health provides individualized treatment plans for clients with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, and co-occurring disorders. For a comprehensive approach to treatment, clients take part in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), individual and group therapy, and family therapy, and for clients seeking treatment for co-occurring substance use disorders, 12-Step facilitation and on-site detox services are provided. The adolescent program encourages active family involvement to ensure patients receive essential support at home. Family services encompass treatment planning, therapeutic sessions, educational workshops, discharge planning, and engaging family activities, fostering a supportive environment for ongoing progress. The Riverview care team collaborates closely with clients during admission to develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to optimize their healing journey.
For clients who have completed a higher level of treatment, the intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides a structured level of support that allows for greater flexibility. IOP services are provided on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and the length of stay ranges from 3 to 9 weeks, based on individual factors.
Located in Texarkana, Arkansas, the facility conveniently serves residents across the Ark-La-Tex region, including East Texas and North Louisiana in addition to South Arkansas. Riverview accepts most major insurance plans, and is open 24/7 with walk-ins welcome.
