About Women Finding Freedom Thru Recovery
Dedicated to helping women overcome addiction and rebuild their lives with strength, stability, and independence, Women Finding Freedom Thru Recovery (WFFTR) in Kentucky serves women with substance use disorders (SUD), including those with trauma, mental health conditions, and parenting responsibilities. The center provides individual and group counseling, peer support, case management, parenting education, trauma-informed treatment, relapse prevention, and life skills training.
Healing With Support
Women work with clinical professionals and peer support specialists throughout treatment. They participate in counseling, receive psychiatric evaluations, and medication management when needed. They may also have scheduled phone calls, visitation, therapeutic family sessions when recommended, and supervised community recovery outings.
Planning for the Next Step
The center develops an individualized aftercare plan before discharge. The women may transition to sober living through Serenity Counseling Services while attending an intensive outpatient program, continuing therapy, and receiving support with employment, budgeting, and independent living. Eligible clients may stay in sober living at no cost for the first three months while participating in treatment.
