The Mend
About The Mend
Based in Bangkok, Thailand, The Mend is a 6-day residential programme that treats adults with persistent or treatment-resistant depression, especially those who have not found lasting relief from antidepressants or talk therapy. The programme centres on 3 planned intravenous (IV) ketamine treatments, each placed within a framework of preparation, ketamine-assisted therapy and integration, delivered in small cohorts.
Ketamine Treatment Within a Therapeutic Plan
Each IV ketamine treatment lasts about 40 minutes, followed by around 90 minutes of supported recovery, with a therapist and nurse present throughout. An established medical provider in Bangkok handles dosing, monitoring and clinical decisions. Between treatments, clients take part in process and integration groups, 2 individual therapy sessions, breathwork, movement, yoga nidra and tension and trauma releasing exercises (TRE).
Private Rooms at a Bangkok Resort Hotel
Clients stay in private rooms at a resort hotel in Bangkok for 5 nights, alongside the rest of their cohort. Meals are provided, and free time can be spent resting or using the hotel's pool and gym. Staff arrange transport to the clinic on treatment days and accompany clients back afterward, with overnight nursing cover throughout the stay.
