About Shiloh Ministries
Located in Liberty, Texas, Shiloh Ministries is a free, one-year Christian residential Bible program for men ages 18 and older seeking help for drug or alcohol addiction or other destructive lifestyles. Founded in 2000 by Rocky and Debbie Fondren, the program focuses on Bible teaching, worship, Christian discipleship, service work, and supervised dorm living.
Daily Bible Study and Work
Men complete more than 800 hours of classroom Bible study during the year. Their routine includes chapel services, Bible classes, campus maintenance, and afternoon work details. They also take part in outreach in Liberty and nearby counties, including prayer, feeding and clothing people, and helping neighbors with yard work, carpentry, painting, and other practical tasks. Resident counselors live in the dormitory and supervise the men 24 hours a day.
Admission, Cost, and Requirements
Shiloh Ministries requires a full 12-month commitment and has no monetary charge. Applicants must be at least 18, read the Student Handbook before calling, and be physically and mentally able to join chapel, Bible classes, work duties, and shared living. Shiloh does not admit men currently taking antidepressants, psychotropic medications, narcotics, or similar medications; they must detox and stop those medications before entry. Applicants must disclose legal matters and court dates, and those under court involvement need court approval for the full year, with no court appearances during the program.
