Set in a small-town residential area near downtown Greenville, Set Free MBTC provides a Christian residential discipleship program for people with substance use dependence and other life-controlling problems. Clients live on-site while following a structured daily schedule that includes about 5½ hours of Bible study, personal devotions, counseling, exercise, chores, meals, recreation, and community gatherings. Senior residents mentor newer residents, while staff oversees counseling, guidance, and daily operations.

Growing Through Faith and Responsibility

Clients move through a four-stage program lasting about 8 to 10 months, with responsibilities and privileges increasing as they progress. The curriculum includes a comprehensive study of the New Testament and a general study of the Old Testament, totaling about one year of Bible school instruction. The final stage focuses on supervised peer counseling, where clients practice supporting other residents under staff guidance. Graduates may continue into an optional 10- to 12-month staff training program.
