About SEARHC - Raven’s Way Campus
Set in Juneau, Alaska, near the Mendenhall Valley, Raven's Way Campus is a residential mental health facility serving adolescent boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. As part of SEARHC, they treat conditions tied to trauma, substance use, mood, and behavioral challenges, with services available to youth from across Alaska. Care includes individual, group, and family therapy, alongside psychiatric assessments, recreation opportunities, and medication management.
Daily Structure and Family Involvement
Raven's Way uses the Teaching Family Model, a structured, skills-based approach where youth earn points for practicing communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and self-regulation. Points provide access to privileges and mark progress toward graduation, with external motivators gradually phased out as internal skills develop. An on-site classroom staffed by a Juneau School District teacher supports continued education, and case managers arrange family visits every 90 days. Staff are on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
