About Orchard Place Residential Campus
Orchard Place is a Des Moines-based nonprofit that provides mental health treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults in Iowa. Across its inpatient, outpatient, and community-based programs, it serves youth from birth to age 21. Through the Child Guidance Center, PACE Center, and Residential Campus, Orchard Place offers more than 20 programs in a trauma-sensitive environment.
Receive Structured Residential Support
Orchard Place Residential Campus is a Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children (PMIC) that provides individualized residential care for youth with severe behavioral and mental health challenges. Children and adolescents often come to the campus after psychiatric hospitalization or other treatment when they need more intensive support, closer medical oversight, and a structured setting for stabilization.
Build Skills With a Multidisciplinary Team
Treatment at the Residential Campus is delivered by a multidisciplinary team that may include psychiatric providers, therapists, nurses, treatment counselors, and other professionals. In a safe, structured therapeutic setting, the team works with youth and families to strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and support long-term progress.
