Located near Anchorage, Alaska, the center has residential care for girls facing serious mental health challenges. It treats conditions like mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, and more. North Star’s Residential Debarr Campus offers both short-term and long-term care in a structured, healing environment focused on personal growth and recovery.
Guided Support for Emotional Growth
North Star uses proven therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EDMR), and biofeedback. Staff members work closely with each girl to build coping skills, improve emotional control, and support recovery. The treatment team includes therapists, nurses, and teachers who guide each girl with care and respect.
