About Mount Juneau Counseling and Recovery
Grounded in a long-standing commitment to recovery, Mount Juneau Counseling and Recovery, a program of Gastineau Human Services, serves Juneau as a nonprofit center for adult addiction and mental health care. The center treats substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health conditions, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and anger challenges. Care includes a 27-bed ASAM 3.1 low-intensity residential program and outpatient counseling, supporting people from residential treatment through outpatient care and long-term stability.
Foster Growth Through Routine
Clients in residential care live on site in a structured Recovery House environment with 24-hour supervision and consistent clinical support. Daily schedules include therapy, case management, education, peer support, and outdoor reflection activities that encourage focus and routine. As people progress, on-site outpatient services and transitional housing options help maintain momentum. This steady, supportive setting gives individuals space to heal, build life skills, and move toward lasting independence and hope.
