Set in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, Midway Manor Psychiatric Residence provides residential care for adults ages 21 to 60 living with schizophrenia or bipolar mood disorder. It serves people who no longer need hospitalization but still benefit from structure, supervision and support.
Psychiatric Support and Daily Structure
A psychiatric nurse supervises medication and monitors compliance, and residents have access to an in-house psychiatrist. Occupational therapist runs daily group therapy, while 24-hour care staff provide continuous supervision. Days follow a steady routine of therapeutic groups, exercise and walks, meals and personal time, with regular feedback keeping families informed.
Home in Sydenham
Residents choose private or shared rooms and share spacious living and dining areas, a garden and outdoor spaces. 3 home-cooked meals and snacks are served daily, with laundry service, WiFi, a mini gym and full DSTV included. The home sits in a secure, boomed area of Sydenham with 24-hour security and care.
