Mercy Tree MBTC
About Mercy Tree MBTC
Located southeast of Lake Surf, Mercy Tree MBTC runs an 8-10 month residential Christian discipleship program for adults with alcohol or drug addiction and emotional problems. Mission Teens, Inc. operates the nonprofit, non-denominational program. Residents live on site and follow a set schedule. They do not charge tuition, but applicants may pay for a required drug test and arrange transportation home.
Daily Schedule and Program Stages
Residents spend certain hours each day in Bible study. Their schedule also includes devotionals, worship, Christian teaching, counseling, exercise, chores, work projects, recreation, and community gatherings. The program runs from 8 to 10 months. Staff increases a resident’s responsibilities and privileges as the resident moves through the program.
Faith-Based Recovery Approach
They use Christian discipleship, biblical teaching, routine, and accountability as their main approach to addiction recovery. Donations from individuals and churches fund the program, allowing residents to complete the residential stay without tuition or treatment charges.
