Kantamo - Kärkölä
About Kantamo - Kärkölä
This center treats alcohol and drug addiction using the Minnesota Model, where clients receive 28–35 days of full-time care with daily therapy, followed by 11 months of outpatient follow-up. The program supports men and women, including those with chronic relapse or trauma. Located in the peaceful countryside of Kärkölä, Finland, it offers a quiet, safe place to begin recovery.
Gain Clarity with Guided Self-Reflection
The program focuses on group therapy led by professionals with lived experience. Clients reflect on their life stories and the impact of addiction in all areas of life. Family weekends help loved ones understand addiction as an illness. The approach builds honesty, personal responsibility, and motivation for a sober life. Treatment begins with a medical exam and structured therapy.
Recharge in Spaces Designed for Rest
Clients stay in cozy, private rooms with their own toilet and shower. All rooms and facilities are accessible for people with reduced mobility. Relaxation is supported by lounges and a sauna, which many find helpful during early recovery. The center is under an hour from Helsinki and easy to reach by train or car.
