About Hiawatha Hall
Hiawatha Hall, operated by the Family & Children's Center in Winona, Minnesota, offers services to help adults aged 18 and older with mental illnesses or other challenges transition to independent living. Since 1982, the program has provided a staffed residential facility where participants engage in activities designed to develop skills necessary for healthy, self-sufficient lives.
Social and Vocational Training
Residents participate in group therapy, social skills training, medication monitoring, vocational services, social and recreational activities, and aftercare planning. The program also includes on-site nursing services 24 hours a week and psychiatric consultations, with coordination between psychiatric and other medical professionals. Each participant receives individualized care planning, and the average stay is approximately 90 days.
